Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of the Artistia mobile app (iOS and Android) and the public booking site at artistia.app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or accepting a booking, you agree to these Terms.
Who we are
Artistia is operated from Chennai, India. We provide software that lets independent beauty professionals ("Artists") accept bookings, issue digital contracts, manage clients, and customise a public profile page. We are not a marketplace, we do not employ Artists, and we are not party to any booking contract between an Artist and a client.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and resident in India to register as an Artist. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information, including a working phone number.
The two ways you use Artistia
- Artists sign in to the mobile app to manage their business. The app is the Artist's surface.
- Clients reach the Service through a link an Artist shares. Clients accept the Artist's policies at the time of booking, pay any required deposit, and do not need an account.
Your account
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including any bookings created, contracts signed, or payments collected. Keep your sign-in phone number and device secure. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, is used fraudulently, or stays inactive for a long period.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: - Use Artistia for services that are illegal in India or that violate the rights of others. - Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or location. - Use the platform to harass, defraud, or extract personal data from clients. - Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's normal operation. - Bypass payment or platform-fee mechanisms.
Reporting abuse and our moderation commitment
If you see content on Artistia that you believe violates these Terms — for example, an abusive review, a misleading profile, or anything that puts a client or artist at risk — write to support@artistia.app with the artist's page link, a description of the issue, and a screenshot if you have one. We commit to acknowledging and acting on every report within 24 hours of receipt. Acting may mean hiding the offending content, suspending the responsible account, or, where the report is clearly unfounded, telling the reporter we found nothing to act on. Artists can also use the in-app Hide review action to remove a published client review from their public page without contacting us. We log every moderation action so we can audit our own response times.
Plans and fees
- Free — up to 5 active bookings at a time, with all core booking, contract, and CRM features.
- Pro — ₹499 per month, billed through a Razorpay subscription. Unlimited active bookings, custom URL slug, page themes, custom tagline, and a gallery of up to 8 photos.
- Taxes — all fees are quoted exclusive of applicable GST, which is added at the prevailing rate.
You can downgrade from Pro at any time; the change takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
Bookings, contracts, and cancellations between Artist and client
Artistia provides the booking software and the digital contract templates. The booking contract itself is between the Artist and the client — including the cancellation and refund policy, which is set by the Artist and accepted by the client at booking time. We do not adjudicate disputes between Artists and clients, but we will provide booking records and contract PDFs on lawful request.
Express Menu ("Aunty Buffer")
The Express Menu lets an Artist publish a short list of on-the-spot services and accept payment directly to their UPI VPA via a QR code or web link. These payments are made directly between the client and the Artist; Artistia is not involved in the transaction, does not handle the money, and does not record the payment on our platform. The Artist is solely responsible for fulfilment, refunds, and tax compliance on Express Menu transactions.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, business descriptions, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). You grant Artistia a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, format, and transmit Your Content for the sole purpose of operating the Service for you and your clients. You confirm that you have the right to upload Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or violate any law.
Service availability
We work hard to keep the Service running, but we don't promise it will be available without interruption. Scheduled maintenance, outages at our cloud providers (Google Cloud, Razorpay), or events outside our reasonable control may cause downtime. Critical maintenance windows will be communicated where practical.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific business needs, be error-free, or be uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Artistia's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹10,000. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost revenue, lost bookings, or damage to reputation. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
Termination
You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account, or by writing to support@artistia.app. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, prolonged inactivity, or where required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive (payments owed, content licence for archival copies, liability limits, governing law) will survive termination.
Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app and update the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will first be addressed in good faith between the parties. Unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, India.
